Volume three. We put the drone up over the site in August — and this is the month the buildings start to leave the ground. Foundations are in across the first flats, and the first concrete slabs have been poured. What was graded dirt in July is now formed, rebar-tied, and taking the shape of real buildings.
What changed this month.
The story since the July update is vertical progress. The foundations for the first flats buildings are in — you can see the long rows of formwork and rebar (the blue tarps protecting the steel) in the photo below — and the first slabs have been poured: Building A on August 10, Building B on the 13th, and Building C on the 18th. Excavators and crews were working the site through the flight. It’s still early, but for the first time the outline of the community is something you can stand on, not just something on a plan.
The neighborhood keeps filling in.
One of the reasons this corner of Meridian works is everything rising around it. The retail and commercial around Discovery Meridian keeps taking shape, and the arterials and everyday services that will sit within a short drive are already here or under construction. Arête isn’t going up in isolation — it’s arriving as the whole Ten Mile area does.
What’s next.
The next month is more of the same, one step higher: continuing foundations and slabs across the remaining flats, and the first vertical framing beginning to go up. We’ll fly again next month from the same angle, so the series keeps stacking into a clean time-lapse of the build toward our 2027 opening.
