Construction update: July 2026.

Volume two of our monthly construction series. On July 10 we put the drone up over the site again — and this month there is real, poured, rebar-and-concrete progress to show you. Foundations for the townhomes are going in, slabs are down across the parcel, and the neighborhood around us keeps rising.

What changed this month.

Since the May update, the site has moved from earthwork into vertical foundations. The single biggest change: the townhome foundations are going in. In the fly-through above and the photo below, you can see the long rows of formed footings and rebar grids, with crews working down in the forms — the first hard outline of where the three-bedroom townhomes will stand. Elsewhere on the parcel, large slabs have been poured, clean rectangular pads laid out and ready for what comes next.

The townhomes are taking shape.

Those footing rows are the foundations for The Townhomes — the limited collection of three-bedroom, three-bath homes at nearly 1,890 square feet, each with an attached garage. It’s the most distinctive home in the community, and it’s the first to break ground in a visible way. There’s a long road from a formed footing to a finished home, but this is the month it stopped being lines on a plan and started being concrete in the ground.

The neighborhood is rising around us.

One of the reasons this location matters is everything going up next to it. Across the wider area, commercial buildings are being framed and topped out, and the retail that will sit within a short drive keeps taking shape. A Super Target is coming to the neighborhood nearby — to be clear, that’s a separate development on land that isn’t ours and isn’t part of Arête or Discovery Meridian, but it’s the kind of everyday convenience that will sit just up the road. Across the interchange, the District at Ten Mile continues its build-out. The point of the neighborhood story has always been that Arête isn’t going up alone — it’s arriving as the whole corner of Meridian arrives.

What’s next.

The next thirty days are about continuing foundation and slab work and moving toward vertical framing on the first buildings. We’ll fly the site again in late August, from the same anchor angle, so the series keeps stacking into a clean time-lapse of the build. Watch the townhome foundations in next month’s shot — that’s where the change should be most visible.
